David is English and grew up in London. After university he spent the next 10 years traveling around the world as a tour director for variously serious Australian travel companies.
After a particularly hair raising ‘it-nearly-all-just-ended-there’ type experience on a container ship crossing the Straights of Magellan in a force 10 gale, (from which the hair has never really recovered); it was clearly time to settle. But where?
Along with all the usual ‘culture and curry-wurst’ stuff, it is the trees and the lack of advertising that keep him in Berlin, mostly.
