1920s Berlin was a heady mixture of sex, drugs and cabaret. Dark political storms gathered on the horizon as the city reeled from one economic disaster to another. Somewhere in the middle though Berlin became the cutting edge of art, architecture, music and self-expression. This whirlwind tour through the decade known as the Golden Twenties is full of rich characters, gangsters, swingers and writers. Some of the most challenging art of the 20th century survived the attentions of the Nazis and is still wowing visitors today. This 3 hour walking tour brings to life the decade and city that was lost to the world and stamped out by the Nazis, the Berlin of Metropolis, Marlene Dietrich and the Bauhaus.
